Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Next Action Guide ("NAG", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website (nextaction.guide), the NAG Helper desktop application, the NAG World of Warcraft addon, and related Discord bots (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account identity: your NAG account ID, email address (if using email sign-in), and display name.
• Third-party OAuth data: when you connect Discord, Blizzard Battle.net, Twitch, Kick, YouTube, or GitHub, we receive the identifiers and profile information those providers share with us (for example, your Discord user ID and username, or your Battle.net tag). We only request the scopes needed for the feature you're using — for example, friend list discovery requires an explicit additional Discord permission that you separately grant.
• Subscription & payment records: subscription status, plan details, and transaction identifiers from our payment processor, Tebex. We do not store your full payment card details — these are handled directly by Tebex.
• Usage & performance data: license key activations, addon installation/version data, Warcraft Logs performance data you choose to sync, and general usage analytics to help us improve the Service.
• Social & community data: friend relationships, messages sent through the Messages Hub, coaching inquiries and session content, and support ticket content.
• Presence data: a timestamp of your last activity, used only to show friends whether you're currently online.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including license key generation and addon updates.
• Process subscriptions and payments through Tebex.
• Enable social features such as friends, key sharing, and messaging.
• Operate the coaching marketplace, including facilitating inquiries, sessions, and reviews.
• Display Warcraft Logs performance data on leaderboards you opt into.
• Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• Improve and develop new features for the Service.

3. How We Store Your Information

Account, subscription, and social data are stored on servers we operate and control. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect stored data, including access controls and encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) between the app and our servers. Data is retained for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

4. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with the following third parties, each of which processes data under their own privacy policy:

• Discord — authentication, bot commands, and (with your explicit consent) friend list discovery.
• Blizzard Battle.net — OAuth authentication and BattleTag linking.
• Tebex — subscription billing and payment processing.
• Twitch, Kick, YouTube, GitHub — optional identity linking for creators.
• Warcraft Logs — optional performance data sync, only when you connect your account.
• Overwolf — the desktop app is built on the Overwolf Electron platform, which provides the advertising used to fund the free tier. Overwolf and its advertising partners may store and access information on your device and process personal data for advertising purposes. You can review and change these choices at any time in NAG Helper under Settings → Privacy → Manage.

Where advertising is shown, the desktop app may derive a one-way cryptographic hash of the email address on your signed-in account and provide it to Overwolf for ad matching. Your actual email address is never transmitted for this purpose — only the hash, which cannot be reversed back into the address. You can turn this off at Settings → Privacy in NAG Helper, and the setting is remembered across restarts.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

The website uses only the minimum session storage necessary to keep you signed in (such as a session token), and sets no third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

The desktop app additionally shows advertising supplied by the Overwolf platform, which may store and access information on your device for that purpose. Those choices are managed through the Overwolf consent controls reachable from Settings → Privacy → Manage in NAG Helper.

6. Website Measurement

First-party purchase-funnel measurement is currently disabled. If it is enabled after the required review, the website will record only an anonymous session identifier, page path, event name, selected tier, key count, and billing period. It will not include your name, email, account identifiers, BattleTag, Discord identity, basket identifier, subscription reference, payment details, or creator earnings.

The anonymous identifier will exist only in browser session storage, not in an analytics cookie or long-lived local storage. Event records will be retained for no more than 30 days for conversion and reliability analysis. You can prevent this measurement by blocking the first-party /api/events request or browser session storage. Before collection is enabled, this notice will be updated with the applicable legal basis and any required consent or opt-out mechanism.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to request a copy of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@nextaction.guide. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe. Deleting your account will revoke active license keys and remove your social and messaging data, subject to any records we are required to retain for legal or financial compliance.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Companion Ads

NAG Helper is funded in part by advertising supplied through the Overwolf platform, shown inside the desktop app. Advertising is enabled by default and can be managed at any time from Settings → Privacy in the app, which includes the Overwolf consent controls and the option to stop your account's email hash being used for ad matching.

The in-game overlay advertisement described in earlier versions of this policy no longer exists — the overlay was removed from the product, and all in-game functionality is now provided by the NAG addon.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced through our Discord community or in-app notification. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
